Cities Revealed Provides Modern Aerial Imagery to the Insurance Industry

Insurance solution providers Mapflow Ltd accesses Cities Revealed™ Modern™ aerial imagery

September 2006: Cambridge – The GeoInformation® Group, publishers of Cities Revealed aerial photography (, recently licensed its Modern aerial imagery archive to Mapflow, providers of technology and services that enable a variety of applications in the insurance arena.

The combination of high resolution Cities Revealed aerial imagery with the insurance expertise and experience of Mapflow provides a powerful risk analysis solution for their property casualty insurance client, St Paul Travelers. St Paul Travelers use a Mapflow hosted application, RiskView, to gain access to Cities Revealed aerial imagery in order to identify the location of a property and its surroundings. This enables them to make more accurate underwriting decisions on a property through the ability to visualise what risks are nearby.

Mapflow has direct access to the Cities Revealed Modern imagery archive to provide fast, accurate and high-quality aerial imagery to its wide-ranging international client base. Since its launch in 1995 Cities Revealed has focused on providing the most up-to-date, map accurate image databases to the professional market. Its modern aerial imagery archive now covers over 65% of the British population and has over 7,000 licensed users worldwide.

name, postcode or national grid reference. Users can immediately preview an image of their choice, purchase with a credit card, and download a digital aerial photograph directly to their desktop.
