New employees bring over 20 years industry experience to ESRI (UK)
30 October 2006, Aylesbury – ESRI (UK), a provider of enterprise geographic information systems (GIS) solutions, has appointed Howard Atkinson as business unit manager for Local Government sales and Simon Goodwin as strategic account manager for the insurance sector.
With over 20 years’ experience in Geographic Information (GI), Howard Atkinson previously worked as Ordnance Surveys’ (OS) strategic sales development manager, responsible for the central government and health team with a revenue of £30m. More recently, he was instrumental in an agreement with the NHS in England for the licensing and supply of digital data and services from OS.
Simon Goodwin also joins ESRI (UK) from Ordnance Survey and has previously worked for other high-technology companies including AT&T and NCR, selling technology and service solutions into the Financial Services sector with a specific focus on the UK’s leading Insurance companies covering claims and underwriting. Simon has a strong background in consultancy-led solution sales covering systems integration, telematics, spatial data and telecommunications. His past achievements include closing contracts for Pay-As-You-Drive Insurance services with a leading UK Insurer and sole supply of a Motor Claims service to a leading UK bank assurer.
