Allied Container Systems Selects Geographic Technologies Group (GTG) to provide a mapping solution for training facilities at Camp LeJeune, NC

December 4, 2006 -- Goldsboro , NC - Allied Container Systems has selected Geographic Technologies Group, Inc., (GTG) to provide a mapping solution for their Mobilized Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) training facility at Camp Lejeune, NC.  GTG will use mapping grade GPS equipment to create an all inclusive map of this training facility including buildings, roads, tunnels, etc.  The first phase of this project will be the creation of an agreed upon database design to hold the data collected in the field.  Phases 2 and 3 will consist of GPS collection and attribution of the facilities.  The final phase of this project will be to create a 3 dimensional model of the training facility that will be used for training purposes by the United States Marine Corps.

James Webb, GTG's GIS Field Manager says, "This will be a comprehensive and spatially accurate map that provides the Marine Corps with the necessary tools they need to properly prepare their soldiers for urban assault situations."
