Intermap Technologies Supplies NOAA, a U.S. Department of Commerce Agency, Upgraded Data for Geospatial Applications of the California Coast

DENVER—(BUSINESS WIRE)—December 13, 2006— Intermap Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Intermap Technologies Corp. (TSX: IMP)(AIM:IMAP) today announced that it has received a US$138K contract to provide 3D digital geometric elevation data to the Coastal Services Center Branch of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The contract will deliver data collected as part of Intermap's ongoing NEXTMap(R) USA mapping program for various geospatial applications along the California coastal region.

The Company's highly accurate and cost-effective geometric models will be used by NOAA and the Coastal Community in California for applications such as shoreline mapping, watershed and wetlands mapping, as well as shoreline and wetland change detection and imagery orthorectification.

"We are pleased that NOAA and the residents of California will benefit from the value being derived from our NEXTMap(R) geometries. This solution is another great example where government agencies can make efficient use of tax dollars by licensing affordable and accurate geospatial data for vital work being done on the west coast," stated Garth Lawrence, senior vice president of business operations for Intermap Technologies.

Contracted through Sanborn of Colorado Springs, Intermap will begin providing data and training pursuant to this contract in December 2006, and NOAA's Coastal Services Center will distribute the data to members of the Coastal Management Community in California.
