City of Woodland Selects GO! Sync Mobile GIS

Carlsbad, CA, April 16, 2007 - TC Technology announces that the City of Woodland, which is located in Northern California has selected GO! Sync Mapbook with the optional Redline and Inspection Extension as its Mobile GIS standard. The software will initially be used within the Public Works Department’s Operations & Maintenance division by its Collections branch crew (Sewer/Storm).

TC Technology’s intuitive sketching for redlines and easy to use inspection extension for noting attribute changes seamlessly integrates with the City’s enterprise GIS to provide critical information for field crews to aid in asset inspection and maintenance activities while enhancing the City’s GIS.

“We look forward to the value mobile GIS will bring to the organization, which will increase the productivity of our field crews,” states Jerry Gedatus, Utilities Superintendent “Our collections branch will be the first group to utilize GO! Sync with the other braches to follow.”

“GO! Sync will be the key application that allows updating of the City’s utility layers by submitting redline and attribute changes from the field in near real-time for corrections and updates back to the office,” adds Robert Thomas, GIS Specialist “The next step is to have direct integration with Cityworks to streamline the process even further.”
