Data Enables Users to Incorporate More Precise Geocoding Analysis and Physical Addresses in Enterprise GIS Applications

DALLAS, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- ESRI Business GeoInfo Summit -- Tele Atlas , a leading global provider of digital map data and dynamic content for navigation and location based solutions, and ESRI, the market leader in geographic information systems (GIS), today announced the next generation of ESRI ArcGIS Business Analyst desktop software will include Tele Atlas Address Points to provide enhanced geocoding accuracy for GIS application users.

The Tele Atlas Address Points product is designed to deliver application developers a high standard for accuracy and utility for geocoding analysis and navigation solutions. The product uses specific data points to pinpoint discrete, actual street addresses to physical buildings or property parcels for precision and accuracy. ESRI ArcGIS Business Analyst version 9.2, which will leverage Tele Atlas Address Points, is scheduled to be available during Q2 2007.

ESRI ArcGIS Business Analyst delivers advanced analysis tools and an extensive data package, including Tele Atlas Dynamap(R)/Transportation digital map data, to help enable enterprises to make critical business decisions. With the addition of Tele Atlas Address Points, Business Analyst users will have more precise geocoding capabilities to design a range of enterprise GIS applications, such as those that are designed to help: determine insurance risk with a higher level of confidence, intended to mitigate the insurers' exposure; make real estate business decisions based on more precise location data; collect revenue more easily with stricter enforcement of compliance standards for tax authorities; and minimize the risk of accidents for "call before you dig" applications.
