A Look Back at Dimensions 2006

"Value is created by the integration and connection of multiple technologies. One product isn't enough." With that statement, Steven W. Berglund opened Dimensions 2006, Trimble's second user conference after a six year hiatus. Dimensions 2006 demonstrated Trimble's strength in the engineering and construction industry with more than 2,000 registered attendees from over 47 countries. The conference theme, Building Your Connected Site, focused on applying technology to the needs faced daily by surveying, construction and civil engineering professionals.

According to attendees, Trimble Dimensions 2006 provided them significant value:

"Successful on all levels-technical, topical, collaborative, and social -- Dimension 2006 surpassed last year's event. Our firm's attendees were educated by a wide selection of session topics, communicated directly with Trimble product managers and specialists, mingled and exchanged ideas with industry peers, and thoroughly enjoyed the events and festivities offered," said Joe Paixao, Manager, Field Standards & Innovations, Focus Corporation, Canada.

"Trimble Dimensions 2006 was very well organized and executed. The program tracks were extremely informative, covering everything from the basics of using specific technology to in-depth project analyses. The number of interesting topics made it difficult to decide which sessions to attend. The session I especially enjoyed this year highlighted GPS applications at the Panama Canal," said Sam Diaz, Chief Surveyor, Bechtel Corp., U.S.

"Trimble Dimensions 2006 made it possible for attendees to explore new market opportunities and tools that can extend the role of the surveyor today and into the future," said Bart Dierickx, FLEPOS, Belgium.

"Seeing Trimble's state-of-the-art products, technology and marketing approach at Dimensions 2006 was worthwhile and very significant for our future business," said Ichiro Jonetsu, Team Leader, Environmental Measurement Instrument Team, Nikken Corporation, Japan.
