Baker Names Jeremy Gill Vice President of Information Technology

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael Baker Corporation (AMEX: BKR) has appointed Jeremy N. Gill, vice president-information technology of the Company, effective October 22. He succeeds Andrew Verone, executive vice president and chief information officer, who will resign from the company to pursue other business interests.

Reporting to the chief executive officer, Gill will be responsible for Baker's information technology strategy and operations and overseeing Baker's internal network infrastructure, business applications and data security.

Gill joined Baker in 2000 and presently serves as a technical consultant focused on the company's security needs, including patch implementation, security threats, and protection of digital assets. Previously, he was an architectural and infrastructure consultant for Baker and led many of the information technology architecture and infrastructure project initiatives and consulting practices. Additionally he provided worldwide support operations and service delivery for Baker's Oracle ERP systems, E-mail systems, hosted data centers, and network infrastructure.

Gill holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Robert Morris University, and is pursuing his Master's in Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. He is a member of Alpha IOTA MU (International Honor Society for Students & Professionals of Information Systems). He resides in Hookstown, Pa., with his wife, Maria.
