USGIF Announces New GEOINT Keynotes on Its Redesigned 2008 Website
HERNDON, Va.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—May 15, 2008— The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) today confirmed three additional keynote speakers to the GEOINT 2008 Symposium’s agenda and announced the launch of its redesigned GEOINT 2008 website. GEOINT 2008 takes place Oct. 27-30 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. USGIF is honored to have on the stage commemorating the 5-year anniversary of the GEOINT Symposium Charles E. Allen, undersecretary for intelligence and analysis for the Department of Homeland Security; U.S. Army Maj. Gen. John M. Custer, commanding general of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca; and the Honorable R. James Woolsey Jr., venture partner at VantagePoint Venture Partners and former director of the Central Intelligence Agency. They join an already impressive agenda of distinguished keynotes confirmed to share their unique experiences and perspectives during the plenary sessions: The Honorable James R. Clapper Jr., undersecretary of defense for intelligence; Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell; U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency; Air Marshall Stuart Peach, the UK Ministry of Defence chief of defence intelligence; U.S. Navy, Vice Adm. Robert B. Murrett, director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency; and Scott Large, director of the National Reconnaissance Office. Within its pages, visitors will see GEOINT has a rejuvenated agenda to meet the wishes of attendees and exhibitors with more dedicated exhibit hall time, new options for panel discussions, new networking opportunities and the addition of a special closing reception to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the symposium. The Symposium’s revamped agenda divides the day in half with all keynote speeches taking place in the morning and one community-wide panel in between. A two-hour lunch and exhibit hall time will follow morning sessions ensuring attendees have plenty of time to see all of the innovative technologies on display. Multiple forum discussions in the afternoon will allow attendees the option of participating in panels most relevant to their work and interests. Each day concludes with receptions in the exhibit hall to offer attendees and exhibitors alike an additional opportunity to discuss the day’s presentations, see more technology demonstrations, catch up with colleagues or make new business partners. The annual GEOINT Symposium, produced by USGIF, is the nation’s premier intelligence event.
