Virtual Geomatics sets a new standard for LiDAR Solutions at ISPRS 2008

VG4D Suite improves LiDAR operations for data producers and data consumers by providing management, production, exploitation and visualization solutions

Austin, Texas - July 3, 2008 – Virtual Geomatics, a provider of LiDAR solutions, announces that the company is participating in the Technical Exhibition at ISPRS 2008, 7‐10 July, Beijing, China, to showcase the latest enhancements to the VG4D Suite which sets a new standard for LiDAR solutions.

Exhibiting in booth 536, Virtual Geomatics is presenting the VG4D Suite, Production Manager, Data Manager and Viewer. In presenting the VG4D Suite, the ownership cost and productivity benefits realized from a standalone suite of products which addresses the concerns of boththe LiDAR data producers and LiDAR data consumers will be demonstrated.

“Participating in ISPRS 2008 is a very exciting event for Virtual Geomatics to showcase VG4D’s benefits to the international maping community.” noted Rick Vincent, chief operating officer of Virtual Geomatics. “It provides us the opportunity to showcase our latest release which with multi‐user, 3D contours on‐the‐fly from the point cloud and profile view/edit capabilities sets us at par with the industry competition for the traditional expectations from LiDAR software and to presnt current benefits (cost of ownership, management tools, standalone, and suite solution for both producers and consumers) beyond traditional expectations. It’s also quite exciting to have the opportunity to present the features for our next release (October 2008) which will allow us to provide productivity benefits to customers beyond the industry competition.
