TI updates second-quarter 2009 business outlook

DALLAS, June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In a scheduled update to its business outlook for the second quarter of 2009, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today raised and narrowed its expected ranges for revenue and earnings per share (EPS).

The company currently expects its financial results to fall within the following ranges:

    --  Revenue:  $2.30 - $2.50 billion, compared with the prior range of  $1.95
        - $2.40 billion
    --  EPS:  $0.14 - $0.22, compared with the prior range of $0.01 - $0.15.

The company will hold a conference call at 4 p.m. Central time today to discuss this update. This conference call will be available live at www.ti.com/ir. TI's original second-quarter outlook was published in the company's first-quarter 2009 earnings release on April 20, available at www.ti.com/ir. TI's second quarter ends on June 30.
