August 03, 2009 -- GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announces that the City of Coral Springs, Fla. has procured multiple licenses of LG Mobile Community Connect and LG Route. These software applications will allow the City to serve the community more effectively and efficiently.
LG Mobile Community Connect is a GIS software solution that allows LG users to integrate AVL with the LG Mobile software. LG Mobile allows officers in the field to view critical GIS and 911 call data. The software allows GPS enabled vehicles to be tracked via the GIS interface. It takes GPS data from vehicles and places a moving map symbol on the GIS map interface that corresponds to the vehicles location in the real world. Historical AVL information is maintained with the product.
LG Route is the latest in intuitive routing software, providing a state-of-the-art solution perfect for any local government organization. LG Route offers exciting routing functionality such as finding the most efficient travel route, generating travel directions, finding the closest facility, or defining service areas based on travel time. It can also save a designated route for future use
“We are excited about the continued opportunity of working with Coral Springs,” said Curt Hinton, CEO of GTG. “GTG has worked with the city for many years and is continually impressed with the professionalism of their staff. Their continued focus on innovative tools for public safety illustrates their priorities. They are focused on saving time, lives, and money with GIS technology.”
