With the Request Portal, users create and use a unique and secure profile to report issues and initiate requests—such as unsafe walkways, potholes, and damaged traffic signs—and track them from submission through completion. Utilizing a specially-designed integration server, the Service Request Web Portal places Internet-submitted requests directly into a CartêGraph database where they are specially tagged to allow for reporting and filtering. When integrated with ESRI ArcGIS Server 9.3 or the Microsoft Bing Maps environment, the Request Portal gives users access to a dynamic, mapped view of all open requests and their accompanying details, including issue type, status, and location; date of creation; and special notes.
The Request Portal also helps an organization to gain efficiency; decreasing the time spent fielding issue-related phone calls, while giving community members a proactive role in the upkeep and management of assets and infrastructure.
