EDA Veterans Launch Cybereda to Provide New-Generation Verification Software

San Jose, Calif. –– Dec. 18, 2009 – Cybereda, a Silicon Valley startup, is formally launching its operations to the public and will be focus on the development and delivery of new-generation verification software for the analog behavior of integrated circuits (ICs). Cybereda was organized and incorporated in January, 2007 by CK Lee, President, and is a privately funded electronic design automation (EDA) company.

“Analog verification is still a major bottleneck for IC design,” said CK Lee, Cybereda President. “SPICE has been the workhorse for 30 plus years for IC designers. Because single CPU simulation was too slow for ever-larger and more complex circuits, compromised approaches such as Fast-SPICE simulators have been adopted to improve performance while sacrificing accuracy and robustness of results. Even popular commercial SPICE products are taking short-cuts to improve simulation speed. Obviously, designers would prefer to have a faster simulation approach that make no compromises in precision and accuracy. This is the focus of Cybereda.”

Cybereda has developed a new generation transistor-level simulation and verification solution. With innovative proprietary parallel technology, the PCSIM circuit simulator delivers breakthrough performance, 100% SPICE accuracy, and million-device capacity. See the announcement “Cybereda Launches PCSIM: New Parallel Circuit Simulator with No-Compromise Approach Delivers 10X Improvement” at www.Cybereda.com.

The team at Cybereda are experts in the area of analog simulation of ICs. The combined experience of over 40 years experience at leading companies including Synopsys, Nassda and EPIC is the basis for a practical design solution for analog analysis. Avoiding the compromises of earlier solutions in the marketplace was an early decision made by the Cybereda team.

“Our experience with verification and debug of actual analog designs, gave us the direction to develop a breakthrough simulator. Designers are struggling with the current set of SPICE tools to get both speed and accuracy. We are committed to creating tools that quickly deliver the right answers,” said Lee.
