GEOINT Community Week is May 17-21

New This Spring ... GEOINT Community Week

May 17-21
What was once Tech Days has grown over the past several years to include myriad events for the geospatial intelligence community. Previously the week when Tech Days occured offered a classified and unclassified day of exhibits and a black-tie gala. Now, with the expanded offerings during the week that include the USGIF Invitational golf tournament, the Army Geospatial and Imagery Conference, the USGIF Workshop Series, and an expanded agenda with Tech Days that offers a community-wide networking reception, it only seemed appropriate to provide a new name for the week: GEOINT Community Week. See you there!

Produced in partnership with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the sixth annual Tech Days provides a unique opportunity for the GEOINT Community to see the latest geospatial intelligence technologies and capabilities in a small, inviting environment. On Wednesday, join us at the NGA Technology Day for classified demonstrations from the NGA directorates at NGA headquarters in Bethesda. During the USGIF Technology Day on Thursday, USGIF members display the latest technologies in an unclassified setting. A joint networking reception with other groups from the intelligence and defense community concludes the day.

The Motion Imagery Workshop is rapidly changing the way the defense and intelligence communities operate tactically and strategically. Motion Imagery, which includes Full Motion Imagery (FMV) and Wide Area Aerial Surveillance (WAAS) modalities, provides a powerful tool for today’s warfighters and analysts, especially when combined with GEOINT and other intelligence data sources. It also brings challenges for data management, exploitation and dissemination. This workshop will provide an informative keynote, interactive sessions and wide open face to face opportunities for attendees to interact with government and industry experts. USGIF has invited speakers from across the DoD and Intelligence communities so you will get a comprehensive understanding of all facets of this increasingly important technology. Come put your questions to these leaders and find out what the various services and agencies are deploying today and what the visiona nd expectations are for the future.
