This product delivers seamless access to over 60 million parcels and associated attribute data in Google Earth software and patented Link-Into technology which enables one-click linking from a parcel on the map to its detailed authoritative property record page at the taxing authority's website.

Acquisitions, Agreements, Alliances

Blue Marble Geographics announced that Optech Incorporated, have licensed Blue Marble technology to be integrated within their mobile/airborne mapping system packages.

The agreement between Optech and Blue Marble solidifies the recent adoption of both the GeoCalc & GeoTranslate developer libraries for inclusion within Optech's survey and mapping solution software. Optech plans to fully integrate all Blue Marble libraries within their software and systems. By leveraging Blue Marble's expertise, Optech will be providing their customers with reliable and flexible LiDAR processing solutions for many years to come.

GeoEye, Inc announced that the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has exercised the second of its monthly options to extend its Service Level Agreement with GeoEye. This option becomes effective Aug. 1, 2010, and runs through Aug. 31, 2010. This option is the second of the six one-month extensions that the NGA has with GeoEye under the NextView contract, with the last option term expiring on Dec. 31, 2010., and ADC WorldMapannounce their partnership to power the suite of web-based and mobile forecasts with the ADC WorldMap Digital Atlas mapping technology.


GeoEye, Inc. announced an exchange offer to fulfill the Company's obligations regarding the registration of its outstanding Senior Secured Notes due 2015, which were issued on Oct. 9, 2009, in a private placement (the "Private Notes"). According to a registration rights agreement entered into by GeoEye in connection with the sale of the Private Notes, the Company agreed to file a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the exchange offer.

IDV Solutions announced the launch of TransportationWatch, a touch-enabled web application highlighting data pertinent to transportation safety. TransportationWatch consists of an interactive map that invites the user to explore data sets used by government agencies in crisis response, situational awareness, and homeland security. The HTML 5 interface provides new and innovative ways to interact with government information on an iPad, an iPhone, or other touch-enabled device.

TransportationWatch is built on Visual Fusion software from IDV Solutions. Visual Fusion is used to quickly build business intelligence applications that unite disparate data into interactive web-based data visualizations (maps, timelines, and analytics) for superior context, rapid insight, and decisive action.

Pitney Bowes Business Insight announced the release of Sagent Data Flow v6.6, the latest version of its powerful and flexible data integration and business intelligence solution. With a number of new integration capabilities and zero-tolerance defect management, Sagent Data Flow consolidates data from disparate sources into a single view for improved analysis, operations and better decision-making. By enabling organizations to access and integrate data from multiple data sources, the Sagent Data Flow solution helps organizations create data that is “fit for use” to better understand, service and grow customer relationships.

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) announces the formation of an an Open GeoSMS Standards Working Group (SWG). The Open GeoSMS SWG will advance the OGC Candidate Open GeoSMS Standard as an OGC adopted standard. The GeoSMS candidate standard is currently an OGC "Discussion Paper."

BroadMap announced the launching of their new website. BroadMap, a leading provider of geospatial solutions, is an emerging, innovative, strategic and results-oriented full-service GIS company specializing in providing government, non-profit and commercial business partners with custom-fit, turnkey geospatial solutions.

Magellan unveiled the next generation of its award-winning, rugged eXplorist handheld GPS devices for the outdoor recreation market.

The new eXplorist 510, 610 and 710 devices allow adventurers to navigate to outdoor destinations worldwide, capture geotagged photos along the way, and share their experiences online when they return home. Each eXplorist model combines high-sensitivity GPS, an intuitive user interface, easy-to-read mapping and accurate navigation. The new series of handheld GPS units are being revealed at the OutDoor Trade Fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and will be available to consumers in North America, Europe, and many other countries worldwide in the 4th quarter, 2010.

SuperGeo Technologies establishes a WebGIS combining various types of traffic information from dissimilar government sectors across the nation. The public would spend less time searching information and obtain correct information in a new and effective way.

Institute of Transportation, MOTC, Taiwan, planned to establish a WebGIS to assist 23 city/county governments and related units in reporting up-to-date traffic conditions, accident events, construction information, etc. The Institute also wanted to efficiently integrate traffic situation provided by National Freeway Bureau and Directorate General of Highways to complete the traffic information.

With this WebGIS, the public can query real-time traffic situation of national freeway, province highway and general roads in each city/county. Meanwhile, users can select start point and end point across city/county and choose to avoid traffic events to obtain the best route.

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) announced that Blue Marble Desktop software will be licensed as part of Topcon's IP-S2 Mobile Mapping System. The announcement follows a partnership agreement between Topcon and Blue Marble Geographics, a leading provider of LiDAR and GIS data conversion solutions.

Blue Marble Desktop is a geospatial data management platform that will allow Topcon IP-S2 users to convert data and work in a variety of applications through a single interface. The software is designed to allow users to work off the same geodetic data source within their organization, regardless of location, for data manipulation and management.

Pictometry International Corp. exhibited new technologies at this year's ESRI User Conference --Pictometry imagery and 3D models are now native content within ESRI products. Also new to this year's exhibit is Pictometry Business Solutions (PBS) for Utilities. PBS for utilities focuses on the revolutionary use of Pictometry imagery for more accurate and efficient pipeline construction and as a corridor management tool.

Azteca Systems, Inc.,announced the release of Cityworks 2010, launching an exciting new array of solutions to automate licensing, permit, case, and asset management for public works, utilities, and government agencies of all sizes. Marking this release, a new naming convention for Azteca's software encompasses the theme of a new and broadened product direction that includes the entire suite of GIS-centric management tools.
