JLT strengthens European presence with new German partner

October 13, 2010 -- JLT Mobile Computers AB, manufacturer of rugged computers ideal for in-vehicle use and field GIS, has appointed MCTX Mobile & Embedded Computers GmbH as European business development partner. Based in southwest Germany, MCTX will assist existing and new members of the JLT Partner Program to develop the German, Austrian and Swiss markets. The company will also establish and grow the JLT OEM project business in central and northern Europe.

The JLT Partner Program is an important part of JLT’s expansion plan for the European market. It provides partners with technical expertise and support so that they may offer world-class computer solutions to end-user customers in a variety of segments such as warehouse / logistics, transportation, forestry, public works, industrial automation, measurement technology, military and emergency vehicles markets. The MCTX team has been working with embedded PC technology since the early 1990s and has extensive experience in delivering solutions for a wide range of rugged applications.

"Our broad expertise from embedded PC-based systems complements the high quality of JLT products and the company’s expert knowledge of rugged computers. We recognise many new opportunities, particularly within in the logistics, public works, public security, factory management, and transportation sectors, where we can work together,” says Thomas Hagios, MCTX CEO. “We’re excited about our new partnership because the extreme ruggedness of JLT computers makes them the first choice for demanding applications."

“Appointing MCTX as our European business development partner is an important step in our long-term strategy of building a strong network of partners with complementary expertise who work together to drive the market and solve customer problems,” explains Per Holmberg, CEO of JLT Mobile Computers. “The goal of this partnership is to support our existing and new partners in finding new business opportunities primarily in the German, Austrian and Swiss markets and to identify OEM and customer design opportunities in central and northern Europe.”
