October 18, 2010 -- Geographic Information Services, Inc. (GISi) was awarded a three-year professional services IT contract that will be used by Oakland County, MI’s IT Department to augment staff capacity and/or expertise. This contract will be accessible to cities, villages, and townships within the County in need of IT professional services.
GISi has been providing staff augmentation services for the County since April 2008 using a prequalified vendor network. This recent award would extend GISi’s ability to provide the County, and all organizations within it, with professional IT services.
"Geographic Information Services, Inc. is a vendor with a track record of success since they first signed with us in 2008,” said Deputy County Executive and CIO Phil Bertolini. “Expanding its role throughout county government and our cities, villages and townships will help save taxpayers money while improving services.”
