Lion’s share of growth came from proactive sales of partner products and services
HERNDON, Va. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 4, 2011 — DLT Solutions, a leading value-added reseller in government information technology (IT) software and services, today announced that in 2010 it achieved more than $790 million in revenue – a substantial 29 percent growth over the $612 million in 2009, which was up 21 percent from $504 million in 2008.
During that same timeframe, the federal information technology market grew only 3-5 percent annually. Furthermore, despite a sluggish state, local, and higher education market, the company was able to achieve a 24 percent growth in that sector in conjunction with several of its primary vendor partners.
“The numbers make it clear that we have been earning a larger market share for our manufacturer partners and becoming even more relevant to their public sector go-to-market strategies,” said Rick Marcotte, president and CEO of DLT Solutions.
DLT’s sales and marketing “factory” operated aggressively in 2010 with more than 3,000 discrete marketing activities generating more than 39,000 prospect opportunities that resulted in greater than $89 million in incremental revenue for DLT and its vendor partners.
“We're delighted to work closely with DLT on our federal business,” said Michael Bradshaw, director, Google Federal. “Their unparalleled experience in navigating the government sector coupled with their investments in cloud computing and technical sales competency in our search, geospatial, and Google Apps offerings have made for a win-win relationship.”
As has been true for the last four years, DLT’s growth is almost exclusively from increased sales for its existing portfolio of partners, including Autodesk, Google, NetApp, Oracle, Quest Software, Red Hat, Solarwinds and Symantec. Unlike many of its broad-based catalog competitors, DLT’s growth was primarily generated from end user sales and successful execution of a blend of products, services, support offerings, and program management deliverables for specific solution areas including Cloud Computing, Data Center Consolidation, Geospatial Data Systems, and Computer-Aided Design for Transportation, Utilities and Manufacturing.
Marcotte added, “After nearly twenty years in this industry, we have not lost our ability to bring value to all of our constituents – vendor partners, employees and our public sector customers. And, our success in 2010 allows us to make additional strategic investments in 2011 to satisfy the evolving IT needs of our government customers, as well as increase our technical competencies and support capabilities of the vendor product and solution portfolios that we carry.”
