FastGate Viewer provides utilities with viewing and reporting options for facility data that has been collected by Osmose field crews. This data is typically captured during pole inspection and treatment, joint use, and asset inventory surveys, among others, and the FastGate Viewer software is provided as the means of viewing, querying, and reporting on the collected data.
FastGate Manager provides data-viewing and reporting functions as well, but in addition offers data-editing and data-maintenance capabilities that allow utilities to collect, manage, and maintain pole and other asset data. The Manager application also supports retention of historical information, allowing sophisticated data analysis and reporting. The FastGate Manager application, currently configured to manage pole data, is designed as a logical upgrade path for current users of the FastGate Viewer.
“This FastGate Users Group conference is designed to give current Viewer users ideas on how to use their existing product more effectively,” according to Tom Petrik, Vice President of Data Services at Osmose. “The conference will also show how the FastGate Manager application expands on the Viewer functionality and extends the range of asset-management functions.”
Two conference sessions are scheduled on March 23, 2005. The first is at 10:00 a.m. Eastern, the second at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. Participants will receive sign-in instructions a few days prior to the conference date.
