April 04, 2013 -- DUBUQUE, Iowa — Cartegraph, a leading provider of OMS (Operations Management System) technologies, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Mission Geographic, LLC (MGIS), a data collection and GIS mapping service based in Monument, Colorado.
This is a strategic acquisition for Cartegraph, which is already a well-recognized OMS vendor among public and private organizations and agencies. By enhancing its OMS technology offering with data collection and GIS mapping services—such as asset inventories, condition assessments, GIS field mapping, digital imagery, and 3D reality capture — Cartegraph aims to make the adoption of OMS technology an efficient, full-service experience.
“This expansion of services allows businesses and agencies to easily adopt OMS and quickly achieve ROI,” said Jake Schneider, Cartegraph Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re delivering a customer experience that’s basically unmatched by anyone in our industry.”
As a part of the acquisition, MGIS will be renamed Cartegraph Data Services. Ken Huisman, Founder/Principal of MGIS, will bring his expertise to Cartegraph as leader of the Data Services team. Cartegraph will headquarter these services at the Monument location occupied by the former MGIS.
“We’re combining the market’s best OMS technology with the market’s best data services. The result is going to be very attractive to customers old and new,” said Huisman. “It makes Cartegraph the industry’s premier full-service OMS provider and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
