Cloud Technology Partners' David Linthicum Named One of TechTarget's Top 11 Cloud Computing Industry Movers and Shapers

BOSTON, Sept. 9, 2013 — (PRNewswire) —   Cloud Technology Partners™, the leader in transforming enterprises through cloud solutions, today announced that Senior Vice President, David Linthicum, has been named to SearchCloudComputing's roster of Eleven Cloud Computing Industry Movers and Shapers.  The listing represents the people who SearchCloudComputing has identified as standing out as the industry's top cloud leaders and innovators.

"Whether they are leading their company to success in the cloud services market, challenging the status quo of the industry, or implementing cloud services in interesting ways within their own companies, these people are influencing the direction of IT -- and other IT pros and companies are paying attention," said Margie Semilof, Editorial Director, TechTarget Data Center and Virtualization Media Group.  "David earned his place on the list not just because he is such a visible presence across virtually any cloud computing website or conference, but due to the fact that he isn't just saying what vendors want to hear.  He has earned his status as a thought leader by consistently challenging the status quo."

The feature details how via his blogs, webinars, keynote addresses, podcasts and over 13 books, Linthicum advocates for change in the cloud market. He recently has promoted the validity of smaller cloud providers over the cloud giants, and pushed for the adoption of multicloud architectures that will enable organizations to mix and match many cloud technologies and services to form the optimal business solution.

Beyond the thought leadership activities, Linthicum is a practicing cloud architect and cloud strategist, and actively works with Global 2000 companies and government agencies in understanding the potential of cloud computing, finding the right fit within existing enterprise architectures and mapping a path to the cloud.

In related news, The Huffington Post has recognized Linthicum as number seven on its list of the Top 100 Cloud Computing Experts on Twitter.
