GIS Professionals Form Wind Lake Solutions

Waukesha, WI (April 26, 2004) - Five well-known industry professionals have announced the formation of a new geospatial consulting company. David R. Coates, William D. Nantell, Gary S. Miller, Susan M. Smith-Lee, and Diana L. DeGroot have joined forces, as partners, to form Wind Lake Solutions, Inc. (WLS). Wind Lake Solutions, Inc., headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin, has assembled a team of recognized utility IT industry professionals. From significant participation in the telecommunications industry’s AM/FM projects of the 1980s to contributing seasoned leadership to enterprise-wide IT integration efforts in today’s broader utility arena, WLS’ principals have earned the respect, support, and partnership of successive generations of utility IT practitioners.

“Best known for the quality and durability of the partnerships they’ve established with their customers, the principals of Wind Lake Solutions have reaffirmed our long standing commitment to helping utilities unleash the capacity of information to provide business solutions”, Bill Nantell, WLS’ president, reported. According to the partners, the goal of the new venture has several dimensions. “We all felt there was an opportunity to take what we had each done individually and together elevate that expertise to another level," according to CEO, David Coates.

Wind Lake Solutions offers an array of configurable services to customers within the utility, telecommunications, and municipal government market sectors. Susan Smith Lee, Vice President of Consulting Practices, noted, “We specialize in supporting the integrated technology-process-data objectives of our customers by effectively leveraging the value of their previous investments.”

WLS’ market offerings include IT Consulting Services, Data Quality Management Services, Joint Use Management Services, and Pipeline Integrity Management Services. A detailed presentation of the features and benefits of these services is available at www.windlakesolutions.com.

Gary Miller, Vice President of Solutions Development concluded, “Our vision for Wind Lake Solutions is to blend our expertise with the knowledge and insights of our clients to insure that their past IT investments continually improve services for utility rate payers.”
