SAN RAFAEL, Calif., June 14, 2006—Autodesk, Inc. announced today that Allister Lundberg, DWF infrastructure senior product marketing manager, will speak at GeoTec 2006 in Ottawa, Canada on Tuesday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Lundberg will speak on common challenges faced by geospatial technology professionals and explain how advances in collaboration technology can help them leverage their investments to minimize costs when sharing geographic data with teams across dispersed locations. Lundberg will also outline collaboration strategies that GIS professionals can apply to reduce errors and ensure access to the right information when and where it is needed.
In his session titled “Using Collaboration Technology to Create Efficiencies and Maximize the Value of Existing Investments in Geospatial Data,” Lundberg will discuss how attendees can use an open-standards technology environment to manage complex geospatial information through the life cycle of the project—from exploration to visualization and modeling. Lundberg will give real-world examples of companies and organizations that are successfully deploying collaborative technology to provide remote teams access to updated geospatial maps, the latest survey information and cartographic data from any location.
