Working in conjunction with SAS® and ESRI®, GeoAnalytics has recently completed the system design as well as prototyping of the core functional components. The first major subsystem, the CAS, will provide a Web-based address data maintenance application, address validation Web service, and Web portal performance dashboard for address management reporting. The second major subsystem, the Central Spatial Data Repository (CSDR), will provide a spatially-enabled RDBMS platform for the storage and publication of all County geospatial data including street and address information. Technologies being used to implement this solution include ESRI’s ArcGIS and ArcSDE Server, SAS’ Data Integration (DI) and Business Intelligence (BI) Server solutions, and the Oracle DBMS platform.
“GeoAnalytics is a key partner in helping the County upgrade its current information infrastructure and realize the vision of an enterprise-class environment to manage, integrate, and easily share critical County information,” states Dean Stites, Fiscal and Administrative Services Manager in Orange County Growth Management. “In the near term this system will grow to support decision-making needs in the areas of addressing, emergency management and land development. Longer term, it will support a broad array of other County business functions as well.”
