January 12, 2007 -- Longview, TX – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that the City of McKinney, Texas has procured GIS software solutions from GTG’s LG GIS software suite. The City will be implementing LGviewer Work Request Module. This application will serve to expand the City’s existing GTG software platform.
LG Viewer Work Request Module enables users to generate and query work requests as well as view job orders directly from a GIS interface. Users can also place and locate work orders/task orders through a GIS interface.
James Kelt, GTG’s Regional Manager and director of GTG’s Texas office says, “Local government is steadily moving towards the ability to generate work orders from a GIS interface. LGviewer in conjunction with the Work Order module allows LG users to do just that. The City of McKinney is on the cutting edge on utilizing GIS as the first place to enter in work orders into their work order management system. The ability to click on a location and populate all of the data necessary to have a work order crew get the job done is invaluable in efficiency and productivity for local government.”
