London, 22 March 2007 - MapInfo Corporation (Nasdaq: MAPS), the leading global provider of location intelligence solutions, today announces the details of its attendance at Map Middle East, the regional forum for the Middle East geospatial community, taking place in Dubai 9-11 April.

Following on from its successful debut at the event in 2005, this year MapInfo is a silver sponsor, providing it with a highly visible platform to deliver an understanding of the value of enterprise-wide location intelligence within the overall theme of this year’s conference of ‘Geospatial convergence – The Next Step.’

MapInfo will be teaming up with three of its regional technology partners, Gulf Computers, Encom Europe and Basar GIS at stand (4). The MapInfo stand will house live demonstrations from all four companies, including unprecedented demos of MapInfo Professional, MapXtreme 2005, Envinsa and location intelligence components for Business Objects and Microstrategy, among others.

Map Middle East has developed into a critical forum for evaluating the benefits of geospatial convergence across public and private sector decision makers in this emerging region. The conference will focus on the building of relationships across communities to secure cooperation between government, academic and industrial sectors.

“Map Middle East is a pivotal forum for the development of effective business and municipal infrastructures in this truly emerging market,” says John O’Hara, MapInfo VP of International Operations. “We will be showcasing location intelligence solutions and examples which we believe will resonate with the needs of the region and will support the goals of these great nations to plan collaborative location-based strategies to meet the challenges they face today and in the future.”

Speaking at the Business Intelligence plenary track, on the opening day of the Conference, under the theme Emerging Applications, Chris Clarke, Director, Business Development, EMD, will present delegates with real-world case studies demonstrating the value of MapInfo location intelligence as an integrated BI tool for government and industry.

Map Middle East 2007 is the 3rd Annual Conference and Exhibition on Geospatial technologies and their applications. It will take place from April 9 to 11, 2007 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE.
