April 10, 2007 -- Goldsboro, NC– Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that the City of Margate, Florida has procured software and services from GTG. The City purchased an upgrade of LGmobile and LGdispatch to LGcommunity connect.
LGcommunity connect is a GIS software solution that allows both HTE Land and Public Safety users to integrate AVL with LG software. The software allows GPS enabled vehicles to be tracked via the GIS interface. It takes GPS data from vehicles and places a moving map symbol on the GIS map interface that corresponds to the vehicles location in the real world. Historical AVL information is maintained with the product.
Curtis Hinton, owner and CEO of GTG said, “We are excited about our continued partnership with Margate. Their staff realizes that the more information they have about geography the better they will be able to serve the citizens of Margate. With the addition of AVL, Margate is taking a large stride forward in an ongoing effort to protect the public and provide the best possible services.”
