May 08, 2007 -- 1Spatial has become the second member of the new Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland (OSNI) Partner Programme.
The agreement was finalised and announced at the 1Spatial Conference last week (2nd May 2007). OSNI’s Licensed Partner Programme aims to build relationships with solution providers to add value to Geographic Information. Licensed Partners will enable users of OSNI data to utilise and implement GI services.
Participation in the Partner Programme brings mutual benefit for both organisations. Each party will be able to share information and to co-operate in order that their data may be improved and developed for the benefit of the customers of both parties.
Additional benefits include further strengthening of the working relationship between both parties, increased market awareness, and improved customer service.
Crawford McIlveen, Commercial Manager, OSNI commented:
"OSNI is delighted to welcome 1Spatial as an Accredited Licensed Partner. We look forward to developing a close working partnership which will enable us to improve access to and increase the use of our data across the public and private sectors in Northern Ireland."
Nic Snape, Operations Director, 1Spatial added:
"As a key solution provider to OSNI, formalising our partnership with OSNI will enable 1Spatial to deliver more solutions and services that can take advantage of the our knowledge of OSNI data. In combination with 1Spatial’s role in building the GeoHub, this agreement is the foundation for 1Spatial working to widen the use of OSNI data across Northern Ireland’s Civil Service".
