Registration Underway for IMF/Geocortex User Conference in Victoria, BC

February 01, 2008 -- Registration is underway for the third annual IMF/Geocortex User Conference, which will take place April 20 to April 22nd, 2008 in Victoria, BC. The event is hosted by Latitude Geographics Group Ltd. to provide an intimate opportunity for the IMF/Geocortex user community to learn, share knowledge, and acquire the information required to make informed decisions about the future.

“We’ve always received great feedback about this event and our pre/post conference workshops,” observes Steven Myhill-Jones, President & CEO of Latitude Geographics, “and I think this year will be even better because a major focus will be on smart, correctly-timed transitions to ESRI’s next-generation technology—which is a hot topic.”

Latitude Geographics is offering three tracks; a session track for developers relatively new to the technology, an advanced developer track, and a coordinator-centric track for less-technical attendees. Emphasis will be on topics related to Internet Mapping Framework for ArcIMS and Geocortex Essentials for ArcGIS Server, but there will be a number of sessions that relate to other topics. In addition to a wide variety of user presentations, the conference includes sessions about maximizing the possibilities of ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server, effective application design, system planning, and hardware/software implementation. More optional pre/post conference workshops have been added to accommodate demand, and parallel content will be offered for Latitude’s growing network of third-party resellers and implementers.

On the weekend prior to the two-day conference, Latitude Geographics will provide opportunities for attendees to get acquainted with Victoria and discover the reasons why the city is so popular with international visitors.
