Autodesk Sales Veteran Brings Channel Marketing Expertise to VUEWorks GIS-Enabled Asset Management Software Business
Concord, New Hampshire – June 16, 2008 – VUEWorks, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex von Svoboda as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Mr. von Svoboda joins VUEWorks from Autodesk, where he spent over eleven years in direct and channel sales management for North America. Most recently, as Autodesk’s Channel Director he recruited 84 new Autodesk channel partners, developed new partner channels for emerging software products, and recruited top engineering professionals into Autodesk’s sales channel. Prior to Autodesk, Mr. von Svoboda was a regional sales manager for Softdesk, the engineering solutions company co-founded by VUEWorks President David A. Paine and acquired by Autodesk in 1997. While at Softdesk he developed both direct and channel sales and established Softdesk’s First-Ever Software User Symposium in 1996. Mr. von Svoboda holds a Civil Engineering degree from Ryerson Polytechnical University, Toronto, Ontario.
