geoVue and GDT Expand Partnership to Increase Data Access for Enterprise Users

-- Location intelligence leader and premier map data provider
integrate products for more flexible solutions --

LEBANON, N.H. & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2003-- Geographic Data Technology, Inc. (GDT), a developer of premier map databases, and geoVue, the leading provider of location intelligence solutions, today announced a substantial expansion of their long-standing data partnership. geoVue, which has used elements of GDT's map intelligence in its progression toward open data standards since early 1999, will be fully operational on GDT as of the first quarter of 2003, making GDT the sole provider of U.S. and Canadian geographic data for geoVue customers.

For GDT, this move represents the continuation of a growing trend toward adoption of the company's geographic data, which is widely acknowledged to be among the best available in the market today. An increasing percentage of U.S.-based enterprises are currently naming preferred or exclusive data sources for geographic intelligence. In some cases this decision is made for quality control, preferred data formats or for simple consistency and economies of scale. For a growing number of those companies, that preferred source is GDT.

"Each year, as companies have come to recognize and value GDT's strengths and differentiators, we've experienced increased demand for GDT data. The company as a whole is extremely pleased to extend our association with geoVue and amplify our support for their enterprise solution suite, which is in high demand among chain operators and other major users of geographic data," commented Mike Gerling, GDT's president and CEO.

Todd Galusha, geoVue's assistant vice president of client services, said, "The growing trend toward preferred data sources makes the expansion of the GDT-geoVue partnership and full data integration a strategic and timely move. Our customers value GDT for the quality of their data. This relationship will surely enhance the solutions we provide our customers and the views they obtain of their marketplace."
