July 15, 2009 -- The mining company said it evaluated GeoSamba Universal against its competition to identify which product would meet their requirements as an “information tool that is accessible to all employees.”
After some months and careful consideration, GeoSamba Universal was chosen as the preferred solution because it offered additional flexibility and cost savings that the competition could not match.
NGIS Product Manager, Chris Devlin says that the GeoSamba is winning clients due to its market maturity, ease of use and interoperability with different gateways and servers.
“We are finding that clients are looking for a product that can easily integrate with existing systems, is intuitive to use and provides a strong value for money proposition,” he said.
“The fact that GeoSamba is interoperable with more than just ArcGIS Server makes it a highly adaptable solution that doesn’t lock businesses down to a single type of platform or product.
“Another important factor for clients is that the interface makes administration components easy to use, so businesses can be assured that they are purchasing a solution that they can easily administer after set up is complete,” he said.
“In addition, the flexible licensing arrangements mean companies can choose the package that suits their requirements and budget, which is extremely important in the current economic climate.”
