August 20, 2009 -- GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announces the recent addition of Michael Dawson, GIS Solutions Manager, to their new St. Petersburg, Fla. regional office. This marks GTG’s second regional office in Florida after the Milton regional office.
Dawson brings 10 years of GIS experience to the position, which includes work with both local governments and private sector consultants. Dawson has held positions ranging from field data collector to GIS coordinator, which gives him a strong background in the practices of GIS, including data collection, custom software development and day-to-day GIS activities.
“I am looking forward to working with cutting-edge technology and applying that technology to GIS in order to benefit our clients,” said Dawson.
As GIS Solutions Manager, Dawson will be responsible for ensuring that clients’ projects are completed on time and within budget for his area.
“We’re excited to have Michael on board here at GTG,” said Curt Hinton, CEO of GTG. “Michael’s knowledge of custom software development coupled with his extensive GIS capabilities will enable GTG to more effectively serve its clients.”
Dawson is a key point of contact for GTG in Florida. “With GTG’s strong presence in the central and southern regions of Florida, I will be available as a nearby face-to-face contact for those clients,” Dawson said.
