As of today, Valtus now offers its customers the ability to purchase orthorectified digital imagery from the online store by uploading a shapefile.
“We are extremely excited that we are now able to offer our customers a more convenient method of getting the data they need, how the need it” stated Tammy Peterson, business manager. “This the first in a series of customer driven enhancements planned for 2010.”
The Valtus Imagery Services online database currently holds over 9 million square kilometers of high resolution imagery across Canada and the United States. All Valtus Data is available through both VIEWS: Spatial Data Access Subscription and the Spatial Data Store. The Views service provides instant, secure access to an extensive library of imagery that can be seamlessly integrated into mapping applications and geographic information systems. The Spatial Data Store is a convenient online solution for users who require immediate access to downloadable, geospatial data. Valtus also stores, manages and seamlessly integrates customer owned data with our public database through the Vault: Spatial Data Hosting Service.
