March 18, 2010 -- GEO-10 the UK’s No 1 GEO Event is on track for success. Visitor registrations are ahead of target attracted by a wide range of exhibiting companies, a topical programme of show floor seminars and exciting networking opportunities. The GEO-10 exhibition will feature event sponsors ESRI (UK), Leica Geosystems, the Association for Geographic Information (AGI), the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc) and surveying specialists SCCS together with well known names from the fields of measurement and data collection through to advanced geospatial analysis and visualisation.
GEO-10 combines a trade exhibition, that has seen some of the most significant product launches and announcements over it’s twelve-year history, a packed programme of free, show-floor seminars, live product demos and of course great networking opportunities including a Las Vegas themed Gala Evening of good food, fun and games. Taking place on the 24th and 25th March 2010 at the Ricoh Arena Coventry, host to last year’s GEO-9 that attracted nearly 700 visitors and exhibitors representing over 40 supplier companies and organisation, GEO-10 promises to deliver as the UK’s No 1 GEO Event.
For the first time this year visitors will have the choice of two free seminar streams including speakers from Ordnance Survey, University College London, English Heritage, MapAction and the British Horse Society. “We had originally planned a conference as one of the streams” commented Stephen Booth of PV Publications, organisers of the event and publishers of Geomatics World, GIS Professional and Engineering Surveying Showcase,, “but with the difficult economic times most businesses and professionals face we have chosen instead to run most of the sessions as open ‘free-to-attend’ sessions.
GEO-10 is designed for everyone involved in the capture and application of geospatial information for construction, civil engineering, development, local / national government agencies, professional survey practice and consultancy. With exhibitors demonstrating the latest technology and developments in the fields of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning and Navigation systems, laser scanning, data modelling and analysis and mapping together with leading trade organisations and academic institutions GEO-10 is a must attend.
“In light of the feedback from other, similar events we are extremely pleased with the continued support of the industry. GEO-10 has secured more exhibiting companies than last year, which in turn is helping to attract a high level of visitor registrations,” concluded Booth.
For the first time GEO-10 will be co-located with the Hard Landscaping Show and World of Paving exhibition and it is hoped that visitors will pass freely between events further boosting the appeal for exhibiting companies and visitors to the show.
