Skygone to exhibit at Open Source focused FOSS4G conference in Barcelona, Spain

September 06, 2010 — Skgone Inc is excited to announce sponsorship and plans to exhibit at FOSS4G 2010 conference, September 6th-9th in Barcelona, Spain. Skygone will be showcasing their on-demand cloud deployments of popular open source geospatial software including GeoServer, MapServer, PostGIS, and OpenLayers.

On the heels of the OpenGeo Cloud Edition launch last week, Skygone will showcase their on-demand deployment offerings and their GIS Cloud App Store, theGISmarketplace.com to the attendees and other sponsoring organizations.

“We are excited to be part of this event and the innovative community that has formed around it," says Ryan Hughes, CEO of Skygone Inc. “We help organizations gain on-demand access to the GIS technology they need with a very little barrier to entry… and because open source software has few license restrictions, the potential that open source geospatial software and cloud computing possess together is truly mind-blowing.”
