Intergraph along with Skyline Software Systems announced they have signed a reseller agreement, which allows Intergraph to resell Skyline's TerraExplorer suite of products with its GeoMedia(R) suite of products. Geospatial professionals integrating data collected and managed by Intergraph's GeoMedia technology into Skyline's TerraExplorer will now have real-time 3D visualization capabilities for their entire range of geospatial information - from digital elevation models to high-resolution imagery and geospatial features, such as road networks, infrastructure and other points of interest.

GiveMePower Corporation, a provider of next-generation computer-aided design (CAD), digital blueprint management and graphics development software for Windows® mobile, wireless, laptop and desktop computing, has been accepted into HP's Developer and Solutions Partner Program (DSPP).

Orion Technology Inc. and Pakistan Resources Development Services (PRDS) Ltd. announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at increasing their share of the growing Pakistani market. Through this partnership, PRDS will distribute Orion's flexible, award-winning, WebGIS software products, as an addition to their robust suite of services.


The Open Geospatial Consortium Inc. (OGC) will soon begin an Interoperability Experiment to create a draft specification and implementations of a Sensor Alert Service (SAS). The OGC Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) Working Group has recognized that the SWE suite of standards and proposed standards requires an alert and notification mechanism to specify how alert or "alarm" conditions are defined, detected, and made available to interested users. Therefore, this Interoperability Experiment will create a draft Sensor Alert Service (SAS) specification for consideration by the OGC SWE Working Group.

The new Washington D.C. office serves as a bridge to future business development opportunities in the area and specializes in providing geographic information systems (GIS) solutions for state and federal transportation agencies.

The ESRI Survey and GIS Summit 2005 will now include engineering and engineering design tracks and presentations. The summit, taking place July 23-26, 2005, brings professionals together with the goal of bridging the gap between surveying, engineering, and geographic information system (GIS) technology. More than 500 attendees are expected to attend the event in San Diego, California.

New Products

DM Solutions Group, a provider of smart online mapping solutions and developer of open source MapTools technologies announced the launch of a new open source online mapping project that will provide a more interactive and continuous user experience in future online mapping applications. DM Solutions Group plans to include the new capabilities from this MapTools project in its custom client solutions and in future products and services.

Avenza Systems Inc., producers of MAPublisher cartographic software, and MAPdata USA, MAPdata World and MajorCities USA royalty-free GIS/cartographic data files, announces the release of MAPublisher 6.2.

MAPublisher 6.2 is the latest version of this mapmaking software used to produce high quality maps from GIS data ensures compatibility with the new Adobe Creative Suite 2 (CS2) that was released earlier this month. All earlier versions of MAPublisher are not compatible with Illustrator CS2.

Expanding the boundaries of innovation in the waterworks industry, MWH Soft, a global provider of environmental and water resources applications software, announced the worldwide availability of H2ONET Generation V6 for AutoCAD 2006. The updated release debuts features that advance core database functions, delivering faster and more intuitive network modeling capabilities than ever before.

Mobitrac Inc., provider of next-generation transportation execution systems, released Mobitrac 2.0, its flagship software solution. Version 2.0 adds critical patented real-time predictive modeling and dynamic analytic capabilities that expand the scope of transportation execution from real-time visibility to management and visibility of future fleet performance.

Blue Marble Geographics announces an update to their GeoCalc 6.1 developer tool kit. This fully object-oriented, cross platform version of Blue Marble's coordinate conversion libraries was created to meet the accuracy and data conversion needs of GIS and mapping programmers. Blue Marble's coordinate conversion technology is used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software companies, universities, oil and gas companies, civil engineering, surveying, technology, enterprise GIS groups, government and military organizations.

NAVTEQ, a global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, has integrated extended lane information into its maps of six European countries. The extended lane attributes were first introduced and extensively tested in the NAVTEQ(TM) map of Germany in 2004, and are now available for select junctions on motorways and roads to major airports in the Q2 2005 release of NAVTEQ maps of Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. In an aggressive initiative, NAVTEQ plans to continue launching the extended lane attributes on its maps of additional European countries and select North American cities throughout 2005.

In conjunction with today's national market launch of Sprint Business Mobility Framework by Sprint, Microsoft Corp. announced the available integration of the Microsoft® MapPoint® Location Server (MLS) with Sprint's network. Sprint becomes the first U.S.-based mobile operator to deliver real-time location services with MLS. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? LLC, North America's largest junk removal service, is among the first companies to benefit from integrating MLS and Sprint Business Mobility Framework capabilities into its business applications and processes.
