The workshop will consist of a mixture of single-track presentations and discussion (PD) sessions and parallel working group (WG) sessions on specific themes (Requirements, Acquisition, Modelling, Analysis, Visualisation), according to the following format: current problems to be solved, potential solutions, and recommendations by WG (discussion under coordination of a chair and final presentation of the results at the closing plenary session). The presentations will be selected based on their quality by the scientific program committee
(peer review of full papers). The setting of this innovative event will be the ancient city of Delft.

    Susan has done it again, bringing complex and esoteric GIS to life. While credit goes to the actual persons working on this project, this article weaves together a fascinating story. This is the stuff that inspires young students to pursue careers in science and in this case geoscience. This is fun and rewarding reading.
