ANZLIC is the peak council for public sector spatial data management in Australia and New Zealand.Many activities of government and the community depend on accurate and current information relating to land. It has become increasingly obvious that in order to achieve a widening range of objectives, land and geographic information must be readily available to different spheres of government and the private sector for analysis and integration. In particular, it has been realised that issues such as land resource management, environmental monitoring and economic development require land and geographic information from both the public and private sectors.
