Allocating customers to the sales representatives in charge!Once you have entered, reorganized or optimized your sales structures with RegioGraph or DISTRICT, customer to sales representative assignments usually have to be modified and adapted. We show you how you can make quick and intelligent new attributions and how you can export these into your customer data base for further use.
Coordinate SystemsThis overview of coordinate systems for georeferencing provides a brief description of local and global systems for use in precise positioning, navigation, and geographic information systems for the location of points in space.
There are many different coordinate systems, based on a variety of geodetic datums, units, projections, and reference systems in use today.
Creating a GeoDatabaseThis first demonstration shows how to create a personal geodatabase on your local workstation. Theoretically the database could be stored on a network accessible drive but it is doubtful that the underlying MS Access engine will be able to support multiple users efficiently.
Creating a Google Earth KML FileKML files are used by the Google Earth browser to overlay a custom set of points, areas of interest or other georeferenced features onto the Google image dataset. A user can use the Google Earth browser software to open a KML file and then interact with the content.
Displaying flow of goods and ways of transport, illustrating commuter movement! In many branches you can find (business) data which comprise a movement from a starting point to a certain destination. This can be the transport of goods from warehouse A to warehouse B or commuter movement from the periphery to a centre. We show you how to analyse this data with RegioGraph and DISTRICT.
Enterprise GIS Database SetupManifold system provides a simple mechanism for enabling several different database platforms to function as a central GIS content management system. Once data such as drawings and images is shared and arranged in a central database it can then be used by GIS technical staff across your organization. It is even possible to leverage hosted database solutions to create a distributed shared editing platform for resources around the world. There are no specialised spatial enabling technologies required - drawings are stored without the need for any "add-on" technology.

GIS TutorialA GIS is a computer system capable of capturing, storing, analyzing, and displaying geographically referenced information; that is, data identified according to location. Practitioners also define a GIS as including the procedures, operating personnel, and spatial data that go into the system.
Global Positioning SystemGPS is funded by and controlled by the U. S. Department of Defense (DOD). While there are many thousands of civil users of GPS world-wide, the system was designed for and is operated by the U. S. military.
GPS provides specially coded satellite signals that can be processed in a GPS receiver, enabling the receiver to compute position, velocity and time.
GlobeXplorer Online TutorialsThese videos require Windows Media Player. Video size is 3 to 5 MBs. If you have problems viewing them, right-click on the link and "save-as" to your hard drive. After the video is downloaded, try to view it directly on your computer.
How to Assign Postcode Areas to Administrative DistrictsYou are faced with the task of restructuring your sales territories from administration level to postcode level? Postcode districts and adminstrative districts often overlap. We show you how the data can be transferred into RegioGraph and DISTRICT without any problems.
How to Create Maps for the Internet with HTML ExportRegioGraph and DISTRICT provide the option of using HTML Export to create maps with internet capability which can then be used to send a map per e-mail or to build a company website. We show you how to use the HTML Export to suit your purposes.
HyperXpress Tutorial Series - Using HyperXpress to print files on DiskLesson 2 : The printer definition created is used when printing using the Windows Printer Interface product. This method allows HyperXpress to be used from within any Windows application. The shortcuts are used for accessing the features of the File-Based GUI for using HyperXpress to process disk files. Using HyperXpress as a Windows printer is covered in a separate tutorial. This tutorial covers the file-based GUI interface.
HyperXpress Tutorial Series - Using HyperXpress to print from your Windows ApplicationLesson 1 : The basics of printing using HyperXpress can be described in these simple steps. Each step is presented in detail in the following pages with illustrations showing you what you should expect to see on your screen. The basic steps for printing with HyperXpress are:
Image AutoSymbol 7.xAutoSymbol provides timesaving functions that address the tedious location and insertion of symbols from scanned drawings into AutoCAD blocks. This software significantly reduces the time and cost required to convert paper maps and drawings to vector files.
Image AutoTLX 7.xAutoTLX is a fully automatic raster-to-vector conversion module featuring text and graphics recognition and unique post-editing tools. The AutoTLX text recognition capability automatically recognizes and converts standard fonts and handwritten, engineering style text in both upper and lower case, found at any angle in the raster image. Graphics recognition capabilities include a wide set of entity types, including lines, polylines, arcs, and circles.
Image Edit 7.xImage Edit allows users to easily edit and manipulate monochrome, grayscale, and color raster image data inside AutoCAD. Imaging routines such as rubbersheeting, raster line editing, and color palette mapping provide users with a fast and efficient method for editing scanned paper-based diagrams, aerial photographs, satellite images, and other raster-based data.
Image Tracer 7.xImage Tracer combines automatic vectorization capabilities with on-screen digitizing for converting all or part of a raster image into standard AutoCAD graphics. Image Tracer's patented line following routines automatically follow raster lines, circles, and arcs, converting pixel-based images into vector elements. The resulting data can be saved as a standard AutoCAD drawing file. Image Tracer is used primarily for contour maps, parcel maps, architectural drawings, and related diagrams, as well as for data conversion projects requiring "heads-up", on-screen digitizing.
Introduction--What Is GPS?The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space age navigational system that can pinpoint your position anywhere on the globe, usually within a few yards or meters. This amazing technology is available to everyone, everywhere, day and night, and best of all, at no cost for use of the navigational data. GPS uses a constellation of 24 satellites in precise orbits approximately 11,000 miles above the earth. The satellites transmit data via high frequency radio waves back to Earth and, by locking onto these signals, a GPS receiver can process this data to triangulate its precise location on the globe.
Linking External Tables to the GeoDatabaseThis demonstration shows how to use ODBC to link tables into a GeoDatabase. This allows data from multiple sources to be added to map reports. The geometric content that was uploaded in Section 1 was formatted for referential compatibility with the database content in this section.

Map ProjectionMap projections are attempts to portray the surface of the earth or a portion of the earth on a flat surface. Some distortions of conformality, distance, direction, scale, and area always result from this process. Some projections minimize distortions in some of these properties at the expense of maximizing errors in others

Presentation Mode in RegioGraph and DISTRICTRegioGraph and DISTRICT have a presentation mode, which enables you to present your maps as a slide show. Your maps will be displayed full-screen. Therefore, the presentation mode is ideal for conferences and meetings!
Remote Sensing TutorialRemote sensing is a technology used for obtaining information about a target through the analysis of data acquired from the target at a distance. It is composed of three parts, the targets - objects or phenomena in an area; the data acquisition - through certain instruments; and the data analysis - again by some devices.
SAR training processorThis manual describes the SAR training processor (STP) that has been developed to introduce students to the complex field of processed synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data. After a brief introduction into the theoretical background of SAR processing, the manual gives an overview how to use the graphical user interface of the STP. The exercise provides hands-on experience with real data and highlights common issues encountered in the processing of SAR data.
