spectro-radiometer vs. spectrometer Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I understand that sensors such as Landsat are spectro-radiometers and that hyperspectral sensors are spectrometers.

I am looking for an explicit definition of spectroradiometers and spectrometers, in order to establish the explicit difference between the two.

Thanks much

I guess Spectrometer measures wavelengths and reflectance while a spectroradiometer measures radiance.Hyperspectral sensors have very fine spectral resolution(in nm) so that is why they have spectrometers to get the spectral signatures of objects with accuracy.
