Linking ArcPad to databases Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

Can I setup hyperlinks in my shapefile polygons attribute table to query a secondary database application. I'm using SprintDB on the Pocket PC and MS Access to mantain records related to my units(polygons). I don't have access to ArcPad development software, and my knowledge of programming is limited, so scratching my head real hard. I've managed to set up the link on my desktop running ArcView, but that was by altering scripts I got off the ESRI scripts site, so it's a different.

I thought maybe I could setup a hyperlink field in my shapefile and pass the ID as an argument in the hyperlink, or something to that effect. Maybe a DB app other than SprintDB could handle this?

Is this possible? Should I try a different approach?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
