Hello,

As a breif introduction, I am relatively new to the GIS
industry. The majority of my experiences have been
Related to the collection of field data for utilities, golf courses,
parks, and construction projects for the purpose of as-builts
and general site information (5 years). I fell into this position through my
family company, in which I would prefer to start indepently contracting.

What I'm looking to do, and need guidance on, is how big
of a market is there for people like myself that would directly
provide field data to GIS companies and firms? Also what
sectors of the industry would best be targeted for me to
provide my services? Any information will help.
