I have 30+ 1:8000 raw aerial photos that I am looking to produce a georeferenced mosaic. I'm probably going to go with a automatic point matching in Autosync in ERDAS. But a quick question, has anyone had success using a SIFT algorithm, say in Photoshop to stitch raw images together and them georef the output? I had a quick play in photoshop and the output looked really good, I feel like I could easily georeference the output, although I am concerned I don't know what's going on during the stitching. The images are of a perfectly flat, largely featureless environment so GCP's are not prolific. I don't do much RS, mainly GIS so a this is towards the margins of my usual work. Tks.
