Land degradation in Trinidad Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

Hey everyone,

I'm doing research on the development of land degradation indicators for the tropical island of Trinidad. I am proposing to use spectral indices however i'm faced with a major block. In Trinidad there is not bare soils so i cannot directly pick up soil on satellite images. Also because vegetations (weeds etc) cover the landscape the use of NDVI may yield erroneous results. Can anyone offers some suggestions or other wise on this topic of a possible solution for my dilema.
