strange xyz file Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

Hi everyone, I need to interpret a xyz text file, that appears to have UTM coordinates.
The problem is, unlike all the other xyz files I've ever processed, this one is strange.
I plot the points on the x-y plane, using z coordinate as 'lighness', so a xyz file transforms into a heightmap (bitmap). This one, when I transform it, looks disorted, like data scanlines get are at the wrong places, mixing very different height positions.
Does anyone know how to solve that? Maybe it's not UTM coordinates? There's some simple coordinate transformation, I believe.
