Z-values Arcview 3.3 new Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I have a point shapefile with x and y values. What I need is elevations. I was told that those could be derived from a DEM. The DEM is loaded and I have created both Grid and TIN themes. Is there a quicker and more accurate way of doing this than creating a new field and filling it with values derived from my placing the cursor over each point and recording each value manually in the attribute table? I am using Arcview 3.3 with Spatial and 3-D analyst extensions. I am relatively new to this so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

After more searching I found the solution, it can be found at: http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=10200. Just in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
