GIS, Journalism and health care stories Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

Greetings:

We're involved in planning some workshops on GIS and journalism for the
annual conference of the Assoc. of Health Care Journalists coming up in
April.

I would be grateful for any pointers to national or international health
care stories (broadly defined) that used GIS techniques to understand and/or
communicate the topic. For example, in May the Providence Journal did a
terrific series on lead poisoning that probably could not have been fully
understood -- or clearly told -- without geographic analysis and mapping
technologies. (See http://www.projo.com/extra/lead/)

I apologize for the cross-postings, but send thanks in advance,
-Tom Johnson
