Data on more than one UTM zone Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I have a data set that maps more than one UTM zone (for example zone 15,16).

First,I considered to take the west most zone, but, I am not sure as this results on coordinates distortions, and as an UTM zone is considered as "flat" for 500Km only (as I know).

Moreover,I am not sure that if I reproject (to geographic) a point from the zone 16 (that was projected on the zone 15) that I will get the same result.

Any clear idea?

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards.
